Bellevue Marshall investigates car burglaries
fitness apparatus The Bellevue Marshal's Office is investigating two car burglaries that were reported Monday and Marshall Ron Taylor is cautioning residents to lock the doors on their vehicles.Taylor said just little items were stolen, such as a flashlight, an air freshener and an fitness apparatus, but both vehicles were left unlocked making theft easy. One burglary occurred in the north part of Bellevue and the other in the south part of the city."Make sure everybody locks their cars and leave them locked and keep their valuables out of their cars," he said.Taylor also warned that car burglary is a felony, regardless of the value of the items stolen."A car can be unlocked or locked, it doesn't matter," he said. "It's still burglary and that's a felony offense."
