Several Northeast Ohio companies will receive grants to help commercialize their products and a Florida company will receive agrant to help it move to the region. The following were among morethan $3 million in grants the Third Frontier Commission approvedTuesday. Acor Orthopaedic Inc., Cleveland: $350,000 for its Magnet Therapy Insole System that uses digital imaging to producecustom orthotics for diabetic patients. Think-A-Move Ltd., Beachwood: $350,000 for a system that usesspeech-recognition technology to guide unmanned ground vehiclesthat could be used by the military or police in hazardoussituations. Syncro Medical Innovations Inc., Youngstown: $350,000 for itsGabriel Magnetically Guided Feeding Tube, which enables a caregiverto position a feeding tube inside the body using a magnet on theoutside of the body. ViewRay Inc., Oakwood: $250,000 to enable Florida-based ViewRay,which is developing image-guided radiation therapy technology, tomove to the village.
